Molly had her second season (17 monts after her first!) while I was in New York getting married! A very rushed phonecall to the late Brenda Haslam, a bus and two train trips later and Molly was successfully mated to Ch. Rossgay Rambler. I was never able to thank Brenda enough for collecting Molly from the train station that evening with next to no notice.
The mating gave me Miles - Ch. Madika Nut Case. There was something special about Miles from the start, it was almost as if he knew he was good! Sure enough at 12 months he won his first CC (and mine!) His second came with a Best in Show at The Beagle Club - what an amazing day! His 3rd CC was at 4 Counties and made him my first Champion.
He now competes with success in the Veteran classes and enjoyed a particularly good weekend in 2005 when he won the Veteran Dog class at Darlington under the late David Nicholson and then the following day at Four Counties Open Show he was Best Dog, RBIS, BOS, and BVIS
However he outdid himself at SKC in May 2006 when, at only his second
 appearance in the Pedigree Stakes, he won the day’s heat and returned the following day to win overall!
