JAN 18th - MATCH night, what a difference a month makes, the judge missed Eddie's 2 second stand (now 15 wks) and he didn't win his round but did later win Best Loser !! Hey, he was having fun, that's how it should be !
JAN 21st - Colne Valley & Canine Ass. Ltd Show - Judge Mrs. Lesley Tain (Taimere). Emma's first show since having a family, children certainly havn't changed her, she had lots to say about her return in the ring. She won her class and was in final four for BIS.
JAN 28th - Huddersfield & Dist. - Judge Mrs. Gill Lawless. Another local show for me and another 1st with BOB & G3.
FEB 15th - MATCH night, this time Eddie did stand still, well, for 5 seconds, long enough for him to win his round and Best Baby Puppy.
MARCH 11th - CRUFTS !! Judge - Marion Hunt (Bondlea). Emma 1st Post Grad Bitch (16) and 1st KCGC (8) WOW !!!! Thank you for all the lovely comments, I was overwhelmed, what a day, thank you, it means a lot. A forgein lady after watching Emma win her class said she was a very funny dog ! Yes, that's one way to describe Emma !! I certainly drove home happier than I had arrived that morning. I just couldn't stop thinking about Miles (which always brings tears) he should've been with me, I miss him. I'd arrived later than usual as I didn't want to see the Veteran Dog class, I'm not ready for that yet. It felt strange, I'd not been to a Champ show since August, Miles' last show. Despite arriving feeling quite depressed, I was immediately greeted by happy people ! It's always good catching up with friends. A huge thankyou to Sam Dawson for the fab photos she took of Emma, that was much appreciated.

MARCH 15th - HOLIDAY - Lanzarote !! I felt terrible putting the hounds in kennels, a first for Eddie, such a baby but I'm sure he'd be fine as he had his Mum and Auntie Milly though it doesn't stop me worrying !
MARCH 31st - Spring Fling Agility Show - Can't believe I'd entered, seemed a good idea at the time ! I was emailed the instructions for the 'fun' Snooker class, my goodness, how complicated (I don't play snooker ) and they call this FUN !! How was I ever going to remember the order of jumping the 'colours' ? To my horror this class was first in at 9am, I was so nervous ! I walked 'my' course until it was in my head. I was relieved to see that others had chosen to run it the same as I had planned, maybe I wasn't so daft after all ! Emma did amazingly well though coming out of the tunnel she stopped for a sniff, I was at the finish hurdle calling on her but you could see her saying "In a minute !" Finally she ran towards me and the finish hurdle to stop the clock. Next came the Agility class, we had a good clear round in that, I wasn't feeling quite so nervous as the course was set out, just follow the numbers ! At lunch time was the other fun class, the Helter Skelter, as the name suggests the course is in a spiral. This seemed simple enough, the outer ring was all hurdles with big gaps but I hadn't banked on Emma deciding after the sixth hurdle that there's got to be something else so went off and did a tunnel, just to break it up a bit, so she was eliminated ! Otherwise she did the course very well. Last was the Jumping class (hurdles and tunnels), off we went, great clear round, yipee !! Then I was called back, the timer didn't work so could I do it again......... NO !!!! Fortunately Emma did another good clear round. The day ended with the presentations, Emma 2nd in the Snooker OMG !! 1st in the Agility and 3rd in the Jumping, what a star !!
APRIL 5th - KCGC Bronze Test - What a night, I was so nervous, Eddie can do it all but would he on the night ? Yes he did, he passed, yipee !!
APRIL 6th - Eastwood Kennel Ass. - Beagle Judge - Denise Close. Eddie's first show, 6mths today and such a baby. Delighted with 3rd in Junior, he free stood beautifully and what a happy chappy. Emma won Open and BOB. Unfortunately the Puppy Stakes and Hound Group were going to clash so I managed to show Eddie then dashed of to the group leaving Eddie with Adele Walton Hadden. The large group took ages (waiting for missing BOB's), delighted with Emma's G4 under Serena Parker and dashed back to the stakes, I was too late but to my surprise Adele had handled Eddie to win the class of 13 (& £5) !! Emma was 2nd in her Stakes class winning £3, the judge was Mr. L. M. Smith (Fernwood)
APRIL 8th - Mountsorrel & District - Beagle Judge - Stacey Burrows. Back at Newark, today Eddie was 2nd in Puppy and another BOB for Emma. Later under Mitzy Morrison (Lewisisle) Emma was G3. Excellent day of non stop chat !!
