30th Jan. A good start to 2010 with BOB & G4 with Emma at Huddersfield C.S.

7th Feb. At Belper K. Ass. under Nikki Peterson (Troupersway) Emma was Res.BOB.

7th March. Kelly Vaughan (Kelseva) judged the bitches and Jim Linden (Bruadair) the dogs at Sheffield & Dis. Both agreed to Emma BOB (not on the Group system). Miles won BVIS under Robin Searle. Prizes here are Laser Knives for 1st and BOB so came home with three (won three knives last year too !)

12th March. CRUFTS !! Entered all three under Jane May, Miles 5th in Veteran (below - and yes the Steward did have all five fingers left!) and 2nd in KCGC, Milly 3rd in Veteran (16 in the class !) and 2nd in KCGC, Emma 5th in KCGC.

21st March. FOUR COUNTIES B.C. under Helen Caple, Miles 1st in Vintage and Best Veteran Dog, Milly 2nd in Veteran Bitch and Emma was unplaced in Graduate.

30th March. Decided to take Emma to Agility training and despite the 'smelly' surroundings (held in an equestrian centre in the middle of nowhere) she took to it like a duck to water ! Everyone was amazed at her ability to pick things up so quickly, I was amazed she didn't go off hunting !! Her enjoyment is obvious for all to see (and hear !) What a little star, we'll be back !

10th April. Bolsover C.S. Emma was BOB under Mrs. J.Marris-Bray (Helenwood) and was shortlisted for BIS.

17th April. THE BEAGLE CLUB OF N.I. under Sam Goldberg (Molesend), Miles 1st Veteran Dog, Milly 5th Veteran Bitch and Emma 5th in Graduate.

25th April. Derby C.S. at Newark, Emma BOB under Mark H. Boswell then Group 3 under Mr. Jeremy Bott and later 2nd in Open Stakes winning £5 ! Miles 1st AV Hound Veteran and later won BVIS, the prize for this was a dog basket full of goodies !

2nd May. DEVON & CORNWALL B.C. Dogs: Mike Denny (Janimist) Bitches: Val Davies (Barrvale). Miles 3rd in Veteran, Emma 5th in Post Grad (17 !) Although Milly this time was unplaced in Veteran Bitch we were delighted to see Poppy with my sister Hazel win the class for the 6th year running, this must be some kind of record !

UPDATE :

12th June - I'm usually at The Beagle Club but this year I supported my very local Honley Show. Unfortunately Emma & Milly were the only Beagles entered in the breed classes under Eddie Webster, he gave Emma BOB & G3 and Miles BVIS winning £15 and 15kg bag dog food !
