The weekend of 13th and 14th June provided beagle exhibitors the opportunity of three shows in Scotland.
First was the Scottish Beagle Club Championship and Open Show double held at Crawfordjohn on the Saturday.
The Championship Show was judged by Mrs Denise Close (Sparrowgill). Fiona Findlay & Colin Christie’s Rhiconich Midas Touch was awarded his first CC and BOS with RDCC going to the Havards’ Ch Annavah Justify. The Havards also won the BCC, BIS and BPIS with Annavah Creme Caramel with the RBCC going to Joan Lennard’s Butterow Unity who also took RBIS. BVIS was Debbie Taylor’s Ch Deaconfield Kingcraft who had won the same award in 2025.

The Open Show was judged by Mrs Helen Johnston (Danluke). Claire Jones took BD and BOS with Clairdale Fusilier and RBD and BVIS with Ch Newlin Preston to Clairdale JW. It was a repeat of the Champ show for the Havards’ Annavah Creme Caramel who won BB, BIS and BPIS. RBB and RBIS was won by Hazel Deans’ Ch Gempeni Cornflower ShCEx.

The FIFA WORLD CUP kicked off in the USA on 11th June and Scotland played their first match in their group against Haiti in the early hours of Sunday morning due to the time difference. Kick off was at 2am for the hardy Scots who stayed up to watch Scotland win 1-0.
Sunday 14th June was Border Union Championship Show held at Kelso. Judging beagles was Hazel Deans (Gempeni). DCC went to Ch Annavah Justify with the RDCC going to Serena Parker and Graham Stevens’ Serenaker Saltydog. BPD was Sharon Hardisty’s Blunderhall Gunpowder Guy and BVD was Deaconfield Kingcraft. BCC went to Sam Goldberg’s Ch Molesend Jazzy JW with RBCC going to Debbie Taylor’s Rosanka Harlow by Deaconfield. Annavah Creme Caramel was BPB and Joan Lennard’s Buttorow Rumba was BVB. BOB was Jazzy, BOS Justify, BPIB Creme Caramel and Kingcraft was BVIB. Jazzy was shortlisted in the group, Creme Caramel was HPG1 judged by Mr S Bardwell (Stewell) and Kingcraft was HVG2 judged by Barry Day Risepark).
