Congratulations to Newlin Inkspot at Fairleedale who can now add the letters VW after her name (subject to KC approval) as she gained the final points required for her veteran warrant at Whitehaven & DCS on 15th March. Eight and a half year old Inca is by Ch Shercroft Flinders x Ch Newlin Osprey and is owned by Christine and Mike Hartland.

David and Jacob on the move in the Hound Group

Crufts 2020

From an entry of 229 judge Darren Fellows found his Best of Breed in David Craig’s nearly 16 month old Davricard Jacob, winning his second CC from the junior class. Jacob comes from a line of Davricard Crufts winners, his mother Ch D Scilla Best Puppy in  2017, grandfather Ch D Harrison RCC in 2016 and grandmother Ch D Buttercup Best Puppy in 2012. Jacob is sired by Ch Nedlaw Barbarian.

Crufts RCC was won by Claire Jones’ Newlin Preston to Clairdale JW. This was Preston’s third RCC. He is by Ch Davricard Harrison x Newlin Mattie JW.

Best Veteran in Breed was Sam and Martin Goldberg’s 8 year old Ch Molesend Kaftan JW ShCM.

There must have been a lot of celebrations in Co. Durham with all three dogs coming from there!

A very happy Serena Parker is pictured with her and Graham Steven’s Ch Serenaker Maid In America after winning Hound Group 2 at Boston, the first Championship show of the year. The group judge was Mrs Pamela Mottershaw.

Beagles don’t have CCs at this show but breed judge Sharon Hardisty had a super entry of 52 beagles. Her Best Dog was David Craig’s youngster Davricard Jacob. David also had success with his 6 month old Bayard Glory Bee who went on to win Hound Puppy Group 4 under judge Mr Mark Ord.
