Huge congratulations to Susan Arden and Dottie who competed at Agility Vision Open agility show over the weekend of 5th and 6th October. Dottie’s 2nd place on the first day gave her more than enough points needed for her Diamond Agility Warrant.

The RKC added Platinum and Diamond to the existing Bronze, Silver and Gold warrants in 2016. Dottie achieved her Platinum in April 2023 and now at the age of 9 and a half years is believed to be the first beagle to achieve the Diamond warrant.

Also very successful in the show ring, Dottie’s official name, subject to RKC confirmation, will be Madika Spot On JW ShCM VW AW(D).

At SOUTH WALES KA CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW on 12th October SBC members in the top awards were Christine Lewis who won RDCC with Ch Fallowfield Fellman and Pam and Lynda Havard whose Ch Annavah Princess Tiana won the RBCC.

MIDLAND COUNTIES CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW was held on 27th October. There was a good entry of 78/103 beagles for judge Geoff Corish. SBC members in the top awards were Pam and Lynda Havard whose Ch Annavah Princess Tiana won the BCC and David Craig who won the RBCC with Tiana’s younger sister Ch Annavah Belinda of Davricard.

Congratulations to Claire JonesCh Newlin Preston to Clairdale JW who was BEST VETERAN IN SHOW at Houghton le Spring open show on 10th November. Hound judge was Luke Johnston and BIS was judged by Catherine Loughlin.

Huge congratulations to Samantha Goldberg whose Molesend Impish won BPIB & BOB at Sunderland & DCS open show on 24th November. Judging the breed was Louis James-Dow.

 

7 month old Impish went on to win HG1 and HPG1 judged by Mrs Kim Hodge  and finally BEST PUPPY IN SHOW judged by Mrs Janette Callon.

There were only two SBC members at the BEAGLE ASSOCIATION (winter) CHAMPIONSHIP show held near Wallingford, Oxfordshire on 30th November. Christine Lewis won the RDCC with Fallowfield Romeo and Claire JonesCh Newlin Preston to Clairdale JW was BVD. The judge was Lynda Havard.

Another super Saturday for Samantha Goldberg and Molesend Impish. One week after winning BPIS she went one better and not only won another BEST PUPPY IN SHOW but also BEST IN SHOW!

The show was Tyne, Wear & Tees Hound Association open show held on 30th November. Breed judge was Helen Geeson and BIS judge Mark Ord (pictured). To say Sam is delighted is an understatement!

Congratulations to Wendy Kilgour and Wanda (Kelcardi Claudia) who won BEST IN MATCH at Broxburn & District Ringcraft Club on 10th December. The judge was Alicia Wilson.

The last Championship show of the year is LKA held at Stafford. Hounds were on Thursday 12th December and beagles were judged by Jane May. Samantha Goldberg’s Molesend Impish continued her winning ways by taking BPIB. Serena Parker & Graham StevensCh Serenaker Armani was the RDCC winner while Pam & Lynda Havard’s Ch Annavah Princess Tiana went one better winning her 48th BCC.

It has been a very successful year for Pam & Lynda Havard’s Annavah beagles and the icing on the cake is ending the year with Tiana being ‘Our Dogs’ Top Hound 2024. Huge congratulations! Lynda and Tiana are pictured right after winning BIS at WELKS in April.
