October news starts with Christine Hartland’s Molesend Hazelnut at Fairleedale. Christine and Hazel had a super day at Barrow & District Kennel Association Members’ Limited Show held at Preston Patrick Memorial Hall, Crooklands, Milnthorpe on Sunday 5th October. The show was judged by Ellen Loyne (Crimbledale) and after winning five classes Hazel finished the day by winning RESERVE BEST IN SHOW.

At SOUTH WALES KENNEL ASSOCIATION CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW on Sunday 12th October BCC and BOB from an entry of 77/100 was Lynda & Pam Havard’s Ch Annavah Princess Tiana. RDCC went to the same owners’ Ch Annavah Justify and the RBCC was David Craig’s Ch Davricard Bianca. BPB was Susan Arden’s Madika Shine On. The judge was Mrs Lynn Richmond (Canowindra).

Fiona Findlay & Colin Christie’s Rhiconich Midas Touch was the winner of the SWKA Puppy Stakes (Toy/Hound) judged by Caroline Friend-Rees. Louie is pictured right being expertly handled by Colin.

At Dundee CC open show held at Errol on 18th October Luisa Fallon’s Molesend Jackpot (left) was BOB and HG3. Fiona Findlay & Colin Christie’s Rhiconich Midas Touch was BPIB and HPG1. The judge was Bobby Templeton (pictured right with Colin and Louie).

Congratulations to Kristen Theobald & Michael Butters’ Molesend Ibis of Breskar whose Junior Warrant has been confirmed by the KC.

Hattie gained her final points at Northern & Midland Counties BC where she also won her second CC.

MIDLAND COUNTIES CANINE SOCIETY CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW was held over four days 23rd - 26th October with Hounds being judged on the first day. There was an excellent entry of 75/98 beagles for Dianna Spavin (Dialynne) to judge. Lynda & Pam Havard’s Ch Annavah Justify was awarded his 7th DCC and was BOB.  A new CHAMPION was crowned when Sam Goldberg’s Molesend Impish was awarded the BCC. Impish is pictured right at BC Ch show in June. Winning the RBCC and BPIB was David Craig’s Davricard Madonna. Madonna went on to win HPG1 judged by Elina Haapaniemi (Finland) but was unable to compete for BPIS on the final day.

The penultimate Championship show of 2025 took place on Saturday 1st November. This was the BEAGLE ASSOCIATION’S second CHAMPIONSHIP show of the year which was held at Wallingford in Oxfordshire. The judge was Nikki Firth (Nictoney) who had drawn a lovely entry of 102/117.

Congratulations to SBC members Lynda & Pam Havard and Susan Arden who were in the top awards.

Lynda & Pam had a super day. Their successful beagles were Ch Annavah Princess Tiana BCC & BEST IN SHOW, Ch Annavah Justify RDCC, Ch Annavah Knick Knack BEST VETERAN IN SHOW and new baby puppy dog Annavah Top Notch was BEST BABY PUPPYSusan’s Madika Shine On was BEST PUPPY IN SHOW.
