THE BEAGLE ASSOCIATION Championship Show at Asfordby Acres on 8th July was held indoors due to the inclement weather. Judge Marion Hunt had celebrated her 80th birthday 6 days earlier. Winning her 20th CC and BIS was the Havards Ch Annavah Princess Tiana with the RBCC going to Sam Goldberg’s Molesend Dormouse JW. David Craig’s Davricard Gaultier was awarded the RDCC and BPIS and Serena Parker’s Ch Serenaker Elle’s Belles was BVIS.

The following day the last ever EAST OF ENGLAND Championship Show was held at Rutland. Judge of beagles Mr David Roberts awarded a first CC and Best of Breed to David Craig’s Annavah Belinda of Davricard with her older full sister Ch Annavah Princess Tiana taking the RBCC. It was also a first CC for Christine Lewis’ Fallowfield Vincent with David’s Davricard Gaultier taking the RDCC. Best Puppy was the Havards’ Dufosee Julianna avec Annavah.

Another super win for Jackie Fraser’s Wyvisview Harlequin who was Reserve Special Best Veteran In Show at Highland CA open show on Sunday 9th July, a local show for Jackie. Hound judge was Janet Kirkwood and Frank Gilroy judged BIS.

There was only one SBC member in the top awards at the HOUND ASSOCIATION Championship Show on 15th July. This was Susan Arden’s 8 year old Madika Spot On JW ShCM AW(P) VW who won the RBCC and BVIB. She is pictured in the challenge for BV.

The judge was Gwen Ford (Australia). Like the Beagle Association show the previous week the frequent heavy thundery showers meant the show was judged indoors.

Huge double congratulations to Hazel Deans’ Gempeni Cornflower who had a super day at Kilmarnock & DCC open show on 22nd July. Maise was not only awarded BEST IN SHOW, the first beagle to take the top spot at a Scottish open show since the Covid-19 lockdown, but she also gained the final points required to qualify for her ShCEx. The hound group and BIS judge was Mrs Lesley Roberts (Mindlen). Maisie is pictured right after winning BIS.

Maisie will now become Ch Gempeni Cornflower ShCEx (subject to KC confirmation).

LEEDS Championship Show held at Harewood House on 28th July was the last Champ show of the month. All CCs and RCCs went to SBC members.
