CRUFTS 2026
Congratulations to everyone in the cards at Crufts. There were more beagles from other countries than there were from Scotland with only five Scottish exhibitors and seven beagles making the journey to the NEC at Birmingham for the world’s largest dog show. From those Luisa Fallon’s Molesend Jackpot JW came home with a 5th place in Yearling Dog and Anne Binks’ Tannahill Ezra was 5th in Limit Dog.
There was only one SBC member in the top awards this year and that was Susan Arden and Madika Shine On JW who won the RBCC. After a successful puppy career this was 13 month old Thelma’s first RCC. The judge was Mr Mark Price (Roughstone). Delighted owner/breeder Susan and Thelma are pictured below.

FOUR COUNTIES BEAGLE CLUB held their open show at Bowburn Community Centre, Durham on Sunday 15th March. This was a first Breed Club judging appointment for Charlotte Dalgarno (Vencharno). It must have been a little disappointing that from a good entry of 54 only 21 beagles were present, 7 of them coming from Scotland. SBC members took BIS, BPIS, RBIS, BVIS, BD and BPD. The baby puppies were both from Scotland.
