The first of five Breed Club Open shows being held in the next six weeks was NORTHERN & MIDLAND COUNTIES BEAGLE CLUB on 11th February which was judged by Anne Binks.

SBC members in the top awards were Christine Lewis, David Craig, Diane Bridgeman, Lynda & Pam Havard and Jo Norris & Marion Hunt.

Great results for Candi and Dottie and their owner Susan Arden at Phase Purple Agility show on 11th February. Clever Candi won 1st in G3 Agility which means she now moves up to G4. At nearly 8 years Dottie showed she still has what it takes and won 1st in G7 Jumping and 1st in G7 Agility.

It was a first of a different kind for Liz McEwan’s Fletcher. He bagged his first Munro - Ben Vane. Well done Fletcher.

Congratulations to two SBC members who had great success the weekend 18th and 19th February.

On Saturday Susan Arden’s Candi not only won her G3 Agility class but also gained the final points required for her AW(B) and now becomes Annavah Star Above Madika AW(B).

On Sunday Serena Parker took her 6 month old puppy Serenaker Saltydog along to St Helen’s Open show for his show debut. He not only won BP, BOB and PG1 judged by Sue Virgo but then went on to win BPIS judged by Jane Paradise. You can’t get a better start than that!

The second breed open show of the year took place on Saturday 25th February. A lovely entry of 98 hounds split into 46 dog and 72 bitch entries awaited judge Claire Tanner at the BEAGLE ASSOCIATION which was held at Roade Village Hall in Northamptonshire.

SBC members were again in the top awards. BIS was Sam Goldberg’s Molesend Crumble, RBIS & BPIS David Craig’s Annavah Belinda of Davricard and BVIS went to Sam McBain’s Redcap Bella Sorella JW ShCM VW. Serenaker Saltyman (pictured above) followed up his successful debut by winning BPD & RBD. Ch Shercroft Apollo JW ShCM made it two from two winning BVD.
