6th – East of Scotland CS......we had 2 judges today, the breed judge was Mr Hardie who awarded Lagan the Graduate class and Cheri received a 3rd in the Open class......Lagan was up for BOB alongside Fusion, who very rightly won as Lagan was being a little terror and not behaving......he moved beautifully but just did not want to stand then came the AV Hound Special Puppy class this time judged by Mrs Hardie and she awarded Lagan 1st in another large class....meaning we had to wait till the end of the show for BPIS again........but by the time 5pm came Lagan had decided he had had enough, he wanted his dinner and he was just not going to stand.....................but I cannot be too hard on him.....he is after all just an adorable baby!!!!

12th – Crufts........after a very early start Jill & I arrived at the NECC car park just after 5am..... we walked the dogs and waited and waited...then eventually we saw exhibitors being allowed into the halls........so off we walked to hall 5....me with the trolley & bags and Jill with Lagan and Cara...... Lagan was in the 2nd class and was awarded a VHC, Cara was in Junior bitch and behaved very well which pleased Jill but she went unplaced today. At 4pm we left the NECC and headed home.......................it was a very, very long and tiring day........

9th – HAS Championship Show......Aerryn and I went to Kelso on the Thursday before the show to help our friends Drew & Susan Littlejohn set up the show.  What a lovely 3 days we had, the weather was super and the company very nice. Lagan enjoyed his break away from the girls at home and enjoyed his one to one time..... On the day of the show Aerryn was helping out at the Hounds for Heroes stakes ring so she was kept busy...... as beagles were not first in the ring I decided to go into the first heat of the Hounds stakes and to our delight the judge Eleanor Bothwell (Norcis) awarded us the large class.......this meant we had to wait till after the final heat in the afternoon and be one of the five finalists.. To our joy and amazement Eleanor placed Lagan 3rd overall (there were 167 hounds entered in the stakes classes) ..... we won Ł50 and lots of goodies top off a wonderful weekend David called me to tell me he was back in Camp Bastion.........what a relief and now only 5 days until he arrives back in Scotland, it has been a long tour for him and his fellow 2SCOTS in Afghanistan but they have done us proud......

A lovely day with nice company

30th – Clackmannanshire ….a new venue for this show, so today I headed off for Ingilston… I had Lagan and Cheri entered but decided to take just Lagan (It’s a lot easier with just one). Thank you Paul for a lovely result!!!

1stBorder Counties Hound at Lancaster today, the breed judge is Colin Gillanders who has awarded our dogs well in the past......little Lagan and Cheri have never been under Colin before so we decided to see what he thought of them. Much to my delight the judge awarded Lagan BOB........ To top of a really lovely day Lagan was then awarded RESERVE BEST IN SHOW from 19 hounds from judge Freda Marshall............... Thanks to both judges and everyone who waited to support me.   Also a huge WELL DONE to Dianne & Phil’ as their PBGV puppy Bridget who won BPIS.............................

20thSKC Championship Show today under judge Mrs D Ayland. What a wild day....the weather was awful and I don’t think I was warm at any point during the show..........on the showing side of things it did look a lot rosier with Lagan being awarded 2nd in Junior Dog and then 1st in Graduate.
Lagan was photographed (below) at SKC by Hazel Deans.
